I recently posted the lyrics to BB&B as my nominee for the best description of the sometimes ambivalent relationship between escort and client. What I didn't post was the final reprise of the song which deals with the end of a bad experience/relationship between a client and an escort. For the many of us who this has happened to, here's the "comforting" reprise:

BS had a great voice, but IMO, she missed the cynicism and "sophistication" that the song was originally meant to convey. Check out the recordings from the original "Pal Joey" Broadway production with Vivienne Segal. Also, note the original lyrics, which are what attracted me to this song.

Agreed - and then too BS was really too young to put that song across with the emotional depth that may come with middle age. She did a good read of it, but the song is really for someone with some miles on them.
