I've traveled to Tampa may a few times and I was wondering does anyone have insight on the market there for an escort, which sites to use, where to stay, etc. Thanks.

It is less competitive than where you are. It is a BIG area geographicly so it involves alot of driving. To really make a success there you must be willing to drive an hour to Orlando to the east and 45 minutes to sarasota south and 35 minutes to Clearwater north. ALso whenever u r in St. Pete relaxing on the beach you will inevitably get a call from downtown tampa (30 minute drive). When u r in ybor city having a cocktail you will be summoned to st pete beach (30 minutes) Tampa is an LA sized market with about on sixth of LAs population. Best place to stay is one of the airport hotels (westshore area) in tampa because it is somewhat centralized. The escort choices here are very limited and not much choice for a client. I just returned from Tampa/St. Pete/Ybor city... It was a fantastic time. I loved St. Pete and the Tampa bay area. Ybor city was a hoot, well what is there to say really, it was St. Patty's day, and the place was out of control, like Bourbon Street at Mardi Gras... The topography was very different than the east coast side of Florida, but as an escort I echo Mikey's comment that it is a big area topography wise, and traveling back and forth could be a little problematic.

Interesting, when I went and worked it was good. Yeah, some people I didn't see because there were too far north to drive, and then drive back. If they would compensate for that travel then maybe. The area is big. Fort Lauderdale is nice because there are gay guys in 100% of the east of 95 part in close (2-4 square miles) radius.

 

About touring, I've never taken a real tour but did go from Ft. Laud to Tampa Bay.

I thought the choices in Tampa were abundant. Hell, when I was growing up...people talked about escorting like it was nothing. I had a boyfriend who was an escort and my best friend was a friend of his best friend who also was an escort. These guys didn't even advertise on the main sites, so the competition on the main escort sites don't tell the full story. Where I live at, that does not go down. I actually thought the market was too competitive, but when I advertised I was just visiting. I didn't do it when I lived there at the time.

Not that long Joey B, I went in December 2012. I like it there, and yes I agree with Mikey the driving is an issue. Big area. So how did you get clients if you didn't advertise on the main sites and which sites are good for Tampa Bay Area?

I only stopped in Tampa on my way to other cities BUT its worth stopping for. The area is under-served by escorts which can make for some good money. Lots of republican political meetings there during the Summer (good money)

 

And Val ... can't even imagine Ybor city during St. Pattie's day... that place is crazy enough as is.
