Jon Hamm is one of the few male stars I'm actually attracted to.

But more to the point, any predictions for the new season? Part of the first episode involves Don and his wife on vaca in Hawaii.''

Some promo shots. Harry's new look is interesting, but they're really trying to make Joan look older. Peggy's hair doesn't look great either. Word is that Weiner, the creator of the show, is sweet on the actress playing Megan; that explains why she has extensions and a generally flattering look. Betty looks great as always; she apparently lost that weight she had "put on" (since January Jones was pregnant when Season 5 was being shot.)

I never watch the show, but I will say that Draper is attractive, but not necessarily "HOT", but it is always in the eye of the beholder. Do you ever get to see him in a swim suit or a speedo?

He'll be in Hawaii during the first episode, so it's possible. There was one episode in which he was shown in trunks, and I'm sure he's been shown shirtless.

But here's a moving gif of Roger (John Slattery) doing a sun salutation, presumably during an LSD trip. He's shown from the back. (NSFW. I'm linking to the photo since it violates the board's policy for posted photos.)

Oh, god, no. Can you say FLABBY? Not an attractive body at all.

Matt Weiner is a stickler for authenticity. While some people went to the gym in the 1960s, it wasn't widespread the way it is today. And Weiner often talks about how hard it was to find actresses with "period bodies" (slim but not gym toned) to be extras in pool-side and beach scenes.

Given Jon Hamm's build, I'd guess that he could have a hard body but refrains from exercising while the show is being shot.

Exactly. From some of the other comments, I wonder if some people are holding everyone to the standards of escorts (and others) who visit the gym five or six days a week. Nice, but not a necessity for me.

Freshfluff, thanks for the link to the John Slattery clip. I, for one, think he is quite an attractive man! Nothing wrong with a little grey hair on a guy, especially one as good looking as Slattery. His character on the show may be reprehensible, but he is easy on the eye.

And to you curmudgeons who don't get the appeal of Jon Hamm, well it really is in the eye of the beholder. He is so handsome (IMHO) but I agree that the body is disappointing. But in his defense I would also add that the raw material for a good physique is there. But I also agree that back in the time the show is set, people weren't trotting off to the gym - remember there were all those people who still smoked back then and they drank like fish, two things that are not conducive to good health and great bodies. We lose track of how the ideal in men's bodies has changed - look at actors from the era who were considered the ultimate in hotness - hardly any one of them has a body that we would give a second glance at today, and yet they were hot. With the explosion in guys going to the gym a number of years ago, a well-muscled look became the ideal for what we considered hot and still is. If Jon Hamm looked like that in the show, it would seem inappropriate.

Oh, I get that that's what he does. It's part of what makes the show so authentically good. But I miss a nice bod ... anyway, I had seen Jon Hamm in many things BEFORE Mad Men and he hever had a great body. This is one guy who gets by on "that face" ... guess he's never needed the body.

When I was much younger I though Patrick Cassidy was such a hot young stud ... especially when he wrestled Alec Baldwin -- in a very homoerotic scene -- in DRESS GRAY. Well, he's over 50 now and I saw a pic the other day with his white/gray hair and, you know, what ..... he may be even hotter ... if I could figure out how to post the pic here I would.

Here's one tutorial. The insert image method works best.

Basically

1. Go to the web page with the image you want to post, and Right click (or Cntrl-Click on the Mac) the image.

2. You'll get a menu, where you'll click "Copy Image Location." (Make sure you don't accidentally click "Copy image.")

3. Then go to your post and click on the picture icon (next to the globe with the X on it)

4. Go to the edit menu in your browser and hit paste.
