Sources are reporting French porn star Wilfried Knight has passed away. Knight (above) appeared in more than 20 films with Lucas Entertainment and was named the hottest porn star by Out magazine in 2005.

The cause of death remains unclear, though he had been very upset about the recent suicide of his husband, Jerry Enriquez.

We’ll update this story as more information becomes available.

Who next? This is so unreal as well as sad. I've viewed him in some of Lucas's flicks and had really wanted to be in his company during his short stay in

San Francisco last year but unable to make the connection. Sad! Sad! Sad! Some of the "best men" in many respects have begun to take their own

lives due to the horrendous pressure and other problems which they feel futile in solving in other ways!

I'm horrified. I always wanted to meet him. But even if I hadn't, this is just horrible. I wish there had been someone he could have called to be with him and talk him out of it.

I imagine that dcguy's post with the blog link is the same one that I saw over at muscle service. I read part of that (it's pretty long and I couldn't devote that much time to it) and it was really a sad thing - apparently his partner/husband had committed suicide a few days before - they were both facing separation due to unfavorable immigration laws. It raises my consciousness (again)about the injustices that foreigners sometimes face here.

Sounds like he died of a broken heart, simple as that. After reading his backstory, it reminds me yet again just how cruel and unjust DOMA is.

Yes, but I have to think there was more than DOMA involved. I mean I am incredibly sad. But wish that as long as they had each other- even if they had to separate at times- that it would have been enough.

One of the things I have taught students over the years is that we can never truly understand the personal baggage each person carries inside. Sometimes the load just becomes too much, and suicide is but one of the many unpredictable outcomes. I hope he is at peace.

I was thinking the same thing Gman. We'll never know the full circumstances behind this tragic end to this beautiful man's life. Still, it makes me very sad.
