Gosh, I just read this thread and I'm reaching for my hankies now - so much theater. (Not to be too cynical. . . )

Of course it's theatre...escorting is our version of Kabuki. Everyone knows the truth, but a really good escort can convince you of an alternate reality. Maybe finding a really good escort could make your current troubles go away for a while?

I am not going to beat you up I am just going to ask why you find it so incredulous that a gentleman can become more than a sex object and pyschiatrist for us. I have been very lucky, I have personal friendship beyond the walls of escorting with a couple of men. Chris happens to have struck a cord and gone out of his way to make a personal connection not only with me but with several people. I realize that is not your style, you are more into muscle worship situation which does not involve a personal connection. But who does not need friends.

 

As to the theater remark specifically, I reminded of a statement made to me by gentleman when I was trying to be complimentary about the time he had given me and I related it to great job acting he told me in no uncertain terms, "I am not acting," Steven Draker. I appreciated the statement a great deal and I try to remind myself that the guys here do invest themselves in the appts they contract with us. Is there a monetary angle, of course there is, but does that mean the warmth and character given is any less real because of it, I am going to believe that it is not. I need to just take their compliments and statements at face value and try not to be cynical about everything they say and try to figure out what they are angling me for. Realistic yes, cynical no.

 

Sounds like you could use a good connection. Chris is just one example of someone who invests himself in his appts and is good at it as my review submitted will demonstrate. I am sure you can find someone to make a good connection with.

I'm afraid that I struck a negative chord with some of you and I am sorry for that. I actually agree with newtothis's observation that it's our Kabuki (love that;-)) as well as that a really good escort can convince you of an alternate reality. I am well aware of this, having experienced it with several of the guys who post or have posted here. Those times are amazing.

 

I'm glad you have developed these friendships, Bart. I'm sure they enrich your life (and I mean that sincerely, I know how that statement could be mis-interpreted). Chris does sound like a gem and I know I would enjoy meeting him if he ever came to Philly.My cynical comments were not directed at him - or anyone in particular. As an aside, I'm not sure where you got the idea I was into muscle worship - that is so foreign to me and I just don't get it as an activity. Yes, I like hunky guys, but not for that activity.
