Does anyone know of any escorts that have successfully transitioned to the corporate world that they can get me in contact with? I have a few questions..

I am leaving the biz for a few months this May for an internship. I am hoping for a job offer by the end of it - meaning that you'd all only have to put up with me for one more year!

Well I for one will miss you Xander, and I wish you only the most success in your transition into the business world. I know of several escorts that do business outside of escorting, and have made plans for exiting escorting eventually. Only one I thought had carefully considered his options. I will pm you his name.

Get in touch with LBT (Lee). He is still very close to 2 guys who left escorting for full time careers in the corporate world and, I believe, are enjoying it and doing well.

Xander. I enjoy your presence on the Forum. You say things the way you believe and still manage to keep your remarks from being nasty or derogatory. Congratulations and best wishes on your future. You are truly a mature young gentleman.

One word of advice: Always be nice to the secretaries and the janitors. They can make your life oh, so easy, or make it oh, so awful.

An example:

I was always nice to the administrator of our department, who also held the pursestrings. When I left a job about 25 years ago, I turned in my resignation date, including a month of terminal leave (sick time). I was leaving in March, and my resignation would be effective April 30.

"Well, you need to make your resignation effective May 17," our administrator told me, "You have a bonus coming."

"A BONUS? I'm leaving ..."

"You've made more money for this department than anyone else."

"Well, okay. I have the vacation time to make up for it."

"WHAT?"

"Yeah, there's another six weeks of vacation left ..."

I left the job March 31, and got paid to June 23.

Gallahad... such good advise. And, I would add, always treat your boss and your boss's boss with respect and deference even if they are a.. ho..s. As the CEO of several organizations over the years, I have always paid attention to our newest employees and kept track of how they treated their peers, the support staff and their immediate superior. Those that moved up the ladder, got good raises, etc. were the ones that I observed treated everyone with respect, even if the object of that respect didn't deserve it. I also noted that they did not engage in the "office gossip" and choose their friends within the company with great care. As a new employee, that behavior is sometimes hard to do, but trust me, it will pay rich rewards in the future. Good luck and best wishes as you transition from one profession to another.
