But I'd wager that more guilty men got away with raping women before rape shield laws than innocent men are being put behind bars now.

I guess your feeling is that it's OK for some innocent men to get put away rather than to let any rapist off the hook.

“That it is better that 100 guilty persons should escape than that one innocent person should suffer, is a maxim that has been long and generally approved," said Benjamin Franklin, and I for one couldn't agree more.

And while this has absolutely nothing whatsoever to do with his guilt or the trial (but speaks to him as a person I think) ... friends of mine in SA tell me he already has a new girlfriend. Now, that makes me want to throw up.

Well, Oscar is kind of a hunk. I can't say I wouldn't enjoy fucking him, but the guy is a ticking time bomb. I feel a song coming on...

But wait, the judge has not finished. Pistorius will probably be found guilty of culpable homicide and could see jail

Indeed you proved to be correct...Jail time is yet to be determined, so he might get lucky.

I'm not surprised he was eventually found guilty. He didn't have a leg to stand on.

Rim shot!

He'd probably be quite popular in prison. He's pretty and he can't run away without the blades. They don't usually let you have blades in prison.
