President Obama awarded the Medal of Honor to Army Staff Sgt. Clinton Romesha today. I came across a video of his son before the ceremony and I thought some might enjoy it. Very cute kid that provided some levity before a very serious ceremony.

For anyone who wants to learn more about the hero medal recipient's actions, here's a link.

Thanks for the posting. In 1999 I had the privilege of being in the presence of the largest gathering of Medal of Honor recipients as they were the Grand Marshals for the Indianapolis 500 Festival Parade. While I had been aware of the Medal of Honor and its significance, it was not until seeing these gentlemen together and reading their actions that earned the Medal of Honor that I truly appreciated the courage and selflessness of their actions.

Congratulations and thank you Staff Sgt. Romesha.

I have an acquittance who received a Medal of Honor from Pres. Johnson in 1968. By accident, I recently found a book at Barnes and Noble about Vietnam just before the Tet offensive. The book was about his battalion, and included his heroic effort...Amazing.

I am embarassed that I never knew the full extend of his bravery. Luckily, he's still alive, and I could tell him how I feel. I have the same feelings now for every single person who has received a Medal of Honor!
