Not sure if this is the place to post this or not, But: How is the "Message Forum" and "Daddy's M4M" supported? I have not seen any advertising or requests of financial help. I could have had my head in the sand also. This site is a very valuable source for information.

Thanks Daddy.

I thought it came from 2 places donations and from those Affiliate Ads you see on the main page

That's my understanding as well - the review site generates revenue, plus donations are welcomed. Recently Daddy mentioned that his car is in need of substantial repairs or replacement. Seems like a worthwhile holiday gift, considering the value and pleasure we get from the Message Center as well as the reviews. :)

At Daddys Reviews, the advertising pays well, or so I am told by someone who should know. We assume as we go across the internet that the sites we visit are self-supporting. It would never occur to me to donate to gawker.com or Perez Hilton. But in the case of this site, the owner had made it known at one point that he needed some financial help, and members responded. He has not done so recently that I am aware of. But we would not let him be evicted from his home, would we? I think not.

Guess it depends on traffic to the site and who your advertisers are. I know a guy that owns a few sites. He charges $1399.00 a month for a top banner that Rotation with up to 5 advertisers. bottom banners 699.00 a month. a right side banner or footer is 499.00 a month. it ads up if the person owns a few sites

SInce it's too late to edit my original post... here's a link to the post about the car, "Swinging From That Proverbial Knot At The End Of The Rope", on the Dec 14 reviews page.

seeker, perhaps you could start a matching donation fund. Rather than you match the donations others make, people could match your donation. It could give a real jump start to the car fund!

Lucky has no problem with Daddy selling memberships or asking for donations. Why would I? It's perfectly legal and many are in a position to donate and have the desire to do so.

The only thing I don't want forgotten is that the site, both the message board and the reviews, would not exist but for the contributions of its participants. Those contributions are made without charge to the site. So let's not be too quick to badmouth the guys who provide Daddy material for his website. We all want the site to succeed, and if that means donating to the owner, so be it.

It would not be unfair to ask those who make money from the site to be the first to donate.

Although some affiliate ads only pay when you make a purchase ("per conversion") on the affiliate site, many ads pay "per click." So, it may be possible to support this site by simply clicking through to the affiliate sites, without spending any money.

Does anyone know whether the affiliate ads that Daddy uses pay per click, or per conversion? It is probably against the affiliates' terms of service for Daddy to specifically ask us to click the ads to get him paid, but if we choose to do it on our own, that seems totally on the up-and-up.

I was raised to be tight-lipped about personal finances - and I wouldn't want others to be limited by my relatively-meager means. I'll do what I can; if anyone else is so inclined....

I feel as though I've missed a post - I don't see anyone 'bad mouthing the guys who provide Daddy material for his web site.' But I don't think the posts here contribute to any revenue stream - advertisers pay to be listed on the review site, and it's the reviews there that generate traffic.

Steven had the idea that certain people should pay more because they complain. I think he was joking though. Bottom line is anyone who wants to donate can, no one is stopping them. But I do get a kick out of it on Cam4 when folks are urging watchers to tip the performer but they don't tip themselves. Same applies anytime someone urges donations- practice what you preach.

Thanks Guys, i droped an envelope in the mail to Daddy with a donation in it. I hope it is helpful to him. I do appreciate the web site. I hope others will make a donation they are comfortable with.

You're right, seeker630. I decided to delete my tongue-in-cheek post, as it was not bringing anything positive and constructive to this thread, but rather had an adverse affect. I have no idea though what's the reference to "bad mouthing" ...

It's rather surprising nevertheless that some become very vocal as soon as the term "donation" is mentioned. If I was "preaching" with my post (which is still there) then I do apologize. The moderators can take it down. For the record, I have donated twice and probably will donate again (unless Lucky tells me otherwise). In my thinking we should be less critical on how others chose to spend their money.

We all have the free will to decide which cause we contribute our time, effort and money for. Frankly, we've been down this path before, shall we take the high road instead.

I'm sorry again if I hit a nerve, it was not my intent.

He won't! I m glad that you feel the site is valuable to you and deserving of a donation to its owner! It's great that the site has been able to inform people over the years that you were available, and even provide first hand reviews on how good you are. Who's to say you shouldn't donate? Not me!
