We have lost one of the giants of jazz. Dave Brubeck passed away this morning from cardiac issues, one day short of his 92nd birthday. For his fans, here's a couple of his all time greats.

I will always remember seeing him play in person and he was always at the top of his game. R.I.P, Mr. Brubeck and thank you for all that you gave of yourself that we could enjoy your music. Thanks, Lee for this post... I had not seen this information until after I saw your post.

There was a really, really interesting piano piece on the classical radio station in SF (KDFC) last night by Brubeck -

Overture from the ballet suite "Glances".

 

Squarely between the two worlds of classical and Jazz . . . .
