I hope this is not Jack's swan song. My post about my experience, was never intended to create this type of fallout. I have had the honor of meeting Jack and consider him a friend. I have enjoyed watching him grow in his new gay world. Also, since his little NYC get together there seems to be more people willing to meet others here. I have had invitations by other posters to meet over a meal if I am in their area since his adventure. I can't remember much of that before Jack.

I expected to take some heat and questions from my post, but for multiple reasons I felt I should tell the Story of My First bad Experience. No intent to create so much friction between anyone here.

Jack I appreciate your support but don't let it be your final curtain here.

Welcome to what passes for the real world, Jack. When I first "came out" I was so excited and naive about my sexuality. Shortly thereafter, I discovered this place and posted quite often about how happy I was and what I was learning. I was lambasted, called pollyanna, and made to feel stupid and unsophisticated. I ran away with my tail between my legs because, I guess, I was stupid and unsophisticated.

Needless to say, I've reinvented myself, and really don't care what many of the offenders think of me now. I really really like myself. I'm a happy fag, and I plan on staying that way. For awhile, I let the antisemites who hang around here set me back a bit, but now I just avoid the fuckers.

Express yourself, Jack. You might get beat up a bit, and you also might change some of your opinions. I've done that here, and I've learned quite a lot. I'm not afraid to say I've made mistakes here. But most importantly, do all you can to feel true to yourself and your beliefs. I suspect we only go around once, and a stifled and wasted life would be such a shame.

Hi Jack -H, You know the next line to the song (Alice Cooper) is "No More Mr. Clean." Ironic how you mentioned that you feel dirty at the end of your post :( .

To be serious for a minute, don't let this place get to you. I have been around from the start and have seen so much. It can get very frustrating at times ... you can't let that get to you. Just move on to another thread or take a break away from here for a few days. Hang in there my friend.
