Movie Savages: The Butt Shot

It may be a contest this week between Taylor Kitsch and Channing Tatum as to who has the best butt. Both stars showed theirs in the first five minutes of their movies. Kitsch in Savages and Tatum in Magic Mike. Kitsch's co-star Aaron Johnson also shows his butt as they both fuck the same woman. In the novel, one has his dick up the front and one has it up her butt. So one says to the other: "Hey. we were this close to being gay," holding his fingers rather closely together. That line didn't make it to the movie, which is based upon the novel Savages by Don Winslow.

 

The movie suggests that the two male leads have more interest in each other than they do the female lead, but there is no man on man action. The gayest person in the movie is John Travolta, who plays a straight but crooked DEA agent. Benicio Del Torre is very good as a henchman for the cartel.

 

The story is about two pot dealers in Laguna Beach who have such a popular business that the cartel tries to take over. All of the previews were about violent movies, and Savages is also violent. But Taylor is a doll, and Johnson grows on you. So the eye candy is good. But, the book is better than the movie.

Thanks Lucky for the heads-up on Savages. I was on the fence about seeing it, but you did a rather fine job at reviewing it, and it sparked my interest. I think that I will move it to my "To Do List"

I just read a review today that commented that there is a lot of 'muscular masculine nudity' - almost as much as "Magic Mike'! (I took that last bit as hyperbole.)

seeker, I wouldn't count on that. Magic Mike is the skin flick in comparing the two. But Taylor, of the failed movies John Carter, and Battleship, is a hunk. Speculation is that if he has three flops in a row, he's history. So see the movie and support a young man!

Savages did well enough this weekend to not be called a flop, so Taylor's career is probably safe.
