Fredrik Eklund is the youngest Managing Director for Prudential Douglas Elliman. With more than 1.25 billion dollars in residential sales, he is known for being a “listings machine” working with the firm’s senior management team focusing on international sales, new developments and re-sales throughout Manhattan. Eklund is constantly rated as downtown’s “Top Luxury Broker” and was nominated as “Rookie of the Year” by the Real Estate Board of New York. He set record sales in 28 buildings in Manhattan last year and is often spotted showing apartments to top name celebrities. Originally from Stockholm, Sweden, Eklund studied at the Stockholm School of Economics before founding an Internet company and working for the investment bank SEB in Stockholm, London, Singapore and Tokyo. In addition, he is the founder of a high end residential real estate brokerage in Scandinavia with 35 employees.

"...and developed his camera-working skills as a popular gay porn star," it should have continued.

Fredrik Eklund appeared in over a dozen feature gay titles using the pseudonym, Tag Eriksson. He starred in the movie 'The Hole' and won a 2003 GayVN award for "Best Solo Scene." In 2005, he published his first literary work "Lord of the Fruit Flies" where he penned his experiences in the gay sex industry but was however criticized both by critics and readers for being written in a poor language and was never released world wide. He since went on to become vice president and a real estate broker in New York City for the CORE Group Marketing.

Fredrik Eklund is a successful, gay, Swedish-born New York City real estate broker who has helped find apartments for celebrities such as James Bond actor Daniel Craig, John Legend, Jessica Alba, Paul Rudd, Ben Stiller and Brooke Shields. His portfolio is worth more than $58 million and he's also part of a prominent family with ties to Swedish royalty, prime minsters, and famous director Ingmar Bergman. Oh, and he's also worked as a porn star for Jet Set Men under the name Tag Eriksson.

You may remember Tag from such hole-warming films as American Porn Star, Desert Pick-Up 2, Lords II: Return to the Manor, and The Hole, a film inspired by the Japanese horror movie The Ring where watching a certain "haunted" video tape makes you gay—he won a 2004 GAYVN Award for Best Solo scene for that film. Though he moved to the USA in 2003 he couldn't find work, so he performed in gay porn from then until 2005, and then wrote a memoir about it called Lord of the Fruit Flies.

But even before Eklund got into porn he had already started his own software company in Sweden that made customer-relations software and he also began a music management label that scored small successes in Latin America and Japan. Even now his real estate firm is part of an HGTV reality show and Eklund is currently in talks with Bravo to star in his own show. Sadly, the show will most likely be about real estate instead of blowjobs, but Eklund is an interesting exception to the rule. While a lot of porn performers these days get their start in reality TV, Eklund shows that maybe it's best to do porn first and then become a reality star. Well played, sir!

I wonder how far he'd go to make a big sale!

Brooklyn -- my EXACT sentiments on him. One of the most arrogant people I have ever seen on TV, and yes, he would fit into the A-List NYC group easily.

Your comments are well taken. I found him so hot (I am crazy about all Scandinavians) but after reading your comments I came to think that looks really aren't everything and a bad personality can wipe out physical traits in a minute! Thanks,

Yes, I found Ryan way hotter, and in terms of professionalism in the show (as much as I find these "reality shows" not that professiona....), Ryan was much better than Fredrick, and as happyguy2 said (and I agree), a bad personality can wipe out or water down one's desire for another very quickly.

Thanks for the post, all the pictures and the links for Eklund... I remember seeing some of the films he is in, and enjoyed them... to bad that his success has apparently gone to his hear and that his personality now leaves something to be desired. But, he has certainly made a name for himself and probably is still making a lot of money along the way.

Million Dollar Listing New York. To me, Fredrik comes across as an anal-retentive schmoozer. I wouldn't enjoy that personality in a hiring session for certain. And I no longer DVR and watch the New York spin-off.

I enjoyed the first three seasons of the original Million Dollar Listing based on LA realtors. Interestingly enough, two of the three young men came out during the show. One I love, Madison. Josh Flagg, I can do without. And the biggest surprise to me was that Chad Rogers is straight. You can watch episodes on http://www.bravotv.com/million-dollar-listing

If I was in need of a real estate agent for a million dollar property, I would hire him. What one might see as arrogant in social setting, I find as confident in a business setting. And being nice on the eyes would be a bonus.

Well it looks like only a few of us here are on the same page with Fredrik. LOL poor kid, can't get a break. I watch the show fairly regularly, and I don't fine him arrogant at all. I did real estate for years. Residential at first, then moved into commercial. I will say that as you progress up the ladder into multi-million dollar projects, you will find a majority of the agents and indeed many clients are not only self confident ,but very demanding and pushy as well. There is little patience for errors, and sometimes that comes across as arrogant.

I think that he is in an extremely tough and competive industry in NYC. Often "Only the strong survive"

Sorry, I didn't completely understand your response. So what is it that you are saying exactly? That he is really not successful and only appears that way because of the show? And most of the deals that he is "supposedly" working on, never really are completed. I have read that in fact he is a very successful agent, and has been for a long time. Now I don't know him personally, but that is just going by what I have read.

I am not sure what you do for a living BG, and I have never lived in NYC much less worked there. I would venture a guess however, that real estate is the same there as it is in any large metropolitan city, certainly probably the same as LA. Having worked high end commercial and residential, I can tell you that it is a fairly tough business and very 'cut throat'. Only a handful of agents make what you might call great money, the rest barely survive, and many of the clients are very tough and demanding to work with. People can get ugly when a lot of money is on the table. I have been cut out of deals and back stabbed by people in my own office.

This is not necessarily true. Now I can't speak for the agents in NYC, but I know several, what some would categorize as extremely successful agents out here in LA, some are personal friends, that in this recent down turn lost there homes and cars. Making money is not a guarantee that someone will have the ability to live within their means or spend their money wisely.

I got the impression that you thought my post was ridiculous. My only purpose was to give my opinion and show support for the guy, since many here were talking very negative about him. I just wanted to share that and also to give a little incite into the tough job that I personally feels he has. I still maintain it is a tough business.

I have seen a couple of interviews that he has given and I admire the fact that he did not try to hide his past but rather he embraced.
