Kerekes pled guilty of second-degree murder, and Cuadra was tried & convicted of first-degree murder and other charges. Both were sentenced to life without parole, Cuadra appealed - as far as i know, he's still imprisoned. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bryan_Kocis#Death

Thanks for the Update. I did say Year's ago Cuadra would be a very Goodlooking Cellmate in a couple of ways! But I doubt he's gonna enjoy his stay for LIFE!

Wow fedssocr. Does that make you rethink your hiring decisions or process? That one was with an agency makes me wonder what sort of screening they do, if any. I would be freaking out if two of ny former hires were arrested for murder, especially if one or both were later convicted. It would make me wonder if that could've been me. I'd probably give up hiring forever, feeling as though I had exhausted my supply of good luck.

 

I don't really hire much any more...unless I am in Thailand. :-) These guys were several years ago. But, yeah of course it is a little freaky when you hear about it. I think both cases involved other sorts of relationships. The one had some sort of dispute with a guy who had a close relationship with him of some sort (not a one time client) and bludgeoned him with a statue I think. Then stole his Volvo. Kind of surprising since he was a tiny little guy.

 

The other one was a bit standoff-ish the couple of times I saw him. Just had an odd kind of personality. But he was my perfect physical type...lean, toned little body, blond/blue aerobics instructor. But I think he may have had some sort of substance abuse issue. I really don't remember the details. I think the guy he killed was in Florida, again in some sort of personal dispute.

I guess they might even go as far as a "Made for Cable Movie" from this Sad Story...Although over the year's Major Crimes involving Gays hasn't been unheard of either.
