Existentialism 201: What makes a twink?

I was reading about someone looking for a twink in LA. What, pray tell, makes a twink?

 

I have a friend, 5'1", 110, who is petite but in NO WAY a twink. He's too smart.

 

I mean, I think I know one when I see one, but ...

What is the essence of twink?

Definitions vary (and I think guys who are 'into' twinks tend to have more specific (restrictive) definitions. They're not my preference, but my definition would be 'a young, slim and smooth male' - pretty much the Wikipedia definition. I never thought about intelligence (or relative lack therof) being a characteristic).

I think TWINK is more of a "look", underage, prepubescent, nubile, usually fresh looking, glowing and hairless. I realize it is probably good for older guys egos if they are able to hunt and catch a "twink" in real life, and it feeds a certain Fantasy. Anything is possible when you Pay for it. I used to think twinks were subservient, but these days, more and more Older guys want thinks to TOP them.... Maybe its an injection of "youth serum" ???

 

Either way, its simply a preference, and not one that I share. I do enjoy looking at pics of well built, well hung, youthful guys, but hooking up with them is just a bit "creppy" for me, especially when their look is bordering on juvenile...

Lets face it Seek, some of those twink guys look like they just exited the Womb.... And I am sure the twink lovers see nothing wrong with it, and in their eyes probably see something different than i am seeing... We all have predispositions on these things, but as long as no laws are being broken, I can live with it.... My point was simply for ME, some of the pics I view of these twinky guys cross the line. But I still acknowldege that for some they are desirable.

Galladsquire, I too think of 'chicken' as younger than 'twink', and I always found the term' chicken' sort of creepy (maybe because it implies a predatory bias, to me).

Twink appears barely legal and is slight of frame, or only lightly muscled. If you rent early Cadinot films OR visit badpuppy.com 15 years ago, you'll see what twinks were. Now that muscles have become more and more in demand the frame of a twink body has changed a bit. I must admit, since I very very much am not inclined toward younger guys (even in my 20s I actively shunned them) I associate "twinky" with dumb. But that is MY prejudice.

Hopefully some of the guys here are into younger guys will respond, but I'm wary of psychological analysis. Can you explain the psychology of your fascination with extra-large endowments? Are they, in your view, more 'male'? I'm sure we could come up with theories but...who knows?

I can CERTAINLY explain the specifics regarding my attraction to extra-large endowments without any hesitation, however tHIS is not the thread for THAT. Honestly Seek, every post I write is NOT meant to be a challenge, a criticism, a putdown or a judgement. I was honestly interested to understand WHAT the attraction to boys was. OF COURSE younger looking boys to me are MALE, but they are not MEN, so perhaps to appease you I should have said MEN/MEN attraction. ? Regardless that is just splitting hairs.... And as my original question therefore STILL stands, if anyone is qualified to speak on the subject, I'd be most interested and appreciative.

I think for some of us who like the twink aesthetic it is a bit of an arrested development. I recall being totally in lust with a lot of my high school classmates back in the day. So I believe that to an extent my attraction to youthful guys goes back to that. That was the time I finally figured out I was into guys. And it was frustrating at the time to not be able to do anything about it.

 

Frankly I see a lot of the older escorts reviewed on this site and I don't get that at all. But different strokes for different folks I guess.

Generally 18-24, slim, smooth and cute. Unfortunately, my taste in guys has not developed since I was 18. My hiring is now 21-24 rather than the 18-22 bracket that I previously solicited, but that's about it. I am a little tired of the boy taking the bath towels from the Four Seasons to the beach for usage though; I feel like I'm always teaching them something ... lol.

With due respect to your definition CL, I have seen Many Many twinks that were "hardly" cute by ITS definition. But as many have repeatedly said on this site and others, Beauty is most definitely IN the eye of the beholder. There ARE beautiful boys, and then there are ones that are only beautiful to their observer....
