Broadway icon Bernadette Peters is slated to debut as Ivy's mother on the new show SMASH next week.

Brilliant !!!! I totally can see it.....

The show has has its Ups and downs, is a bit slow at points, but the special moments keep me hanging in there.....

Uma Thurman will be paying a visit, and Nick Jonas will be returning.....

What can I say, I LOVE this show !

I agree JJK. I so look forward to Monday nights for pure musical entertainment. It's downs put most current shows to shame. While in PS, already told the dog sitter that he is to tape the show cause I don't think it would be proper to get up in the middle of dinner and put on the tv.

Bernadette will bring the house down. Ever seen the video of her doing "All That Jazz" from a Carol Burnette show. Love it

One thing Bill. If you miss an episode (as I've had to do twice), they are available to watch over at http://www.hulu.com. I seem to be spending a lot of time there catching up on Jon Stewart as well.

I can't wait for BP to appear. I still remember the night I got a series of texts from NYTomcat last year. The first was simple: "you'll never guess who I'm sitting next to at Monster (a NY piano bar for those who don't know)." Yup, he was seated next to BP all night long singing show tunes with her. And I was getting the details throughout the night, just to torment me.

I love BP. So many of her songs on Youtube are just incredible gems, especially from her Carnegie Hall concert.

I can't wait.
