Are There Still Any American Idol Fans Out There ?

Well the New season is officially off to a VERY lackluster start for any of you American Idol fans still hanging on..

 

I am a diehard fan of the show, was fanatical over last years froup of singers, but this year, MEH !

 

Not exactly sure what the judges were thinking when they selected some of the hopefuls, and I am even MORE confused by Americas choice on who they wanted to see go thru.

 

There were actually some extremely good singers auditioning, and I was enthused when the judges picked some of them in the top 25, but the results of the top 13 leaves me cold. Thank goodness for the wild Card picks which added one of my faves (Erika Van Pelt) to the mix, althought young, cute DeAndre annoys the hell out of me with his constant hair tossing and falsetto screaching.... Right off the bat, the Asian guy HeeJun (why is he there in the first place ?), and the 2 blonde chicks need to GO ASAP.

 

My early predicktion is that Colton will WIN.....

I still watch I like colton too. I was disappointed last year when he didn't make the top 24

I chose NOT to view any of the preliminaries of "American Idol 2012." But, I will start to watch it once it's pared down to about six contestants.

I abhorred last year's "American Idol," and it was not the contestants who bothered me tremendously; it was those lame judges having little

precise advice and criticism to render. Again, I'll view it until I have enough or has one contestant whom I'd like to be the victor!

I gotta say that although I was NOT a fan of the other singing show, THE VOICE, last year, this year I am into it, and the calibur of talent they picked on that show far superceeds that of Idol....

I used to enjoy AI, then came along all the other singing competition shows. It was over kill.. Now, I can only watch AI on DVR. I find there are too many commercials, too much bio on the contestants, too much chat by the judges, and too much begging and crying. The other night it took 2 hours to select the top 13. Maybe now they can get down to singing...

 

Does anyone know how their ratings are doing this season?

Colton is talented, and cute.. He should do well..I can't figure out if I think Deandre is cute or not. LOL.
