Does anyone know? He says the government is monitoring men4rentnow and he has proof in his in box so be careful. Then he does not elaborate. i have no evidence of this and no inkling of what he means. Does anyone??? are we talking sting ops? are we talking irs? are we talking famous powerful guys as clients? what? since men4rentnow is a big part of my biz i am a bit concerned. I do not want to pm the op so as not to bother him but am asking does anyone else have a clue and is it only about m4rn or is rentboy also a target????

Perhaps somebody wanted to freak him out and sent some kind of mindfuck trolling PM. How could somebody deliver proof of law enforcement watching except to say something like "See that squad car parked across the street from your front door? That's me." Or someone he knows personally dropping a note "I'm watching you on DR, boy..." That might be rather intimidating. Kind of like a cop stalker...

 

Larger question, since this kind of thing is handled at the local level, why would law enforcement take interest at happenings on a global website with anonymous users? Unless they were able to snoop his identity and tip off his particular jurisdiction. There's too much paranoia in this business, we tend to upset each other more than is justified with our rampant sting speculations, and ironically here I am doing the same goddamn thing. The great majority of us live in cities whose law enforcement agents have much bigger fish to fry, and don't give a shit. A little care (and accepting payment only at the end of the session) goes a long way in protecting yourself. Thank Shiva for my wonderful regulars!

Craigslist and backpage are used by "middle America" and soccer moms to sell and buy stuff. They don't like to see sexual listings on the same site that they are using. They complain to the city council, city council complains to the police and they go to work.

Too, I surmise there are law enforcement agencies obliged, by complaint of a mark, to investigate persons of interest operating confidence games which use M4RN and other on-line services as a venue for farming potential victims.
