The govenor of Maryland is calling for full marriage equality. And last week on X Games, the announcer said of one female athlete that her wife was cheering for her in the audience. I have to say I never thought I'd live to see the day when any of this would be a reality. Yes, there's still a long way to go, but still wow.

The really encouraging thing about the Washington vote was that it was 28-21. When Sen. Haugen first announced that she would support it, that put them over the top with 25 with 3 still unannounced. Obviously, the 3 uncommitted all voted for it as well. And there were 4 Republican yes votes. Great news indeed. Now to beat back the anticipated referendum.

Vermont, Iowa, Massachusetts, New York, Connecticut, New Hampshire, Washington state and the District of Columbia. That's 15% of the country.

Progress may be excruciatingly slow, but the arc of history bends toward justice.
