Thanks for this Travis... while very much appreciating the eye candy and the biographies, I especially enjoyed being able to hear the actual recording of Van Cliburn's award winning performance. WOW... and just think what it would have been like if the current digital recording technology had been available then. Truly an amazing artist, and also sad that he had to hide his sexual preferences.

This thread drew my attention to "The Princes", which I am sure I never would have heard about and so I watched it last night. I'd be interested in hearing others' reactions to the first installment. For me, the Prince from Sri Lanka, Remigius, is the most attractive, Prince Africa best personality and Prince Manny most vulnerable and perhaps the most "princely" in his naievete about how to deal with the non-royal world, although Prince Remi left his considerable luggage on the streets of Brighton, expecting someone to fetch it for him.

As with all reality shows there are so many things I could kvetch about it, but I'll save them and see what others say. Will I watch again? Not sure-- I'll leave Tuesday nights free to do almost anything else.
