I have always liked her. Haven't seen her in anything in years. I read a few times over the years that she suffers from severe depression and that was the main reason for stepping back from acting

Good for her! She retired from acting in 1992 when she was diagnosed as being bipolar. I can't imagine having to juggle rumors of drug use with the reality of being bipolar.

So, for those of you who remember "Family," that means BOTH of the actresses who played the daughters on that show (McNichol and Meredith Baxter) turned out to be lesbians in later life.

She always had that "Something in my life is not right" look on her face. Kind of a look of emotional struggle. But, really, what young person is even going to know who she is? Good that she is looks so happy now.

She used to make me very confused in the 70's. I would have had a full blown crush on her if she had been a boy. Or I would have had a full on crush on her if I had not been secretly gay. You know what I mean. She was a heck of a cutie in a "tom-boy" kind of way. I'm glad she's out and proud.
