Something really wierd is happening down here in SW FLORIDA- my new local market. I am hearing from alot of nice private homes, from alot of condos and high rises. I am also hearing from numerous mid-level hotels and even economy hotels but ALMOST NOTHING from the big, luxurious, gulf front hotels/resorts. I am wondering is this just a local thing or is this a national trend? One would think that guests at these properties would want the service and have no trouble affording it. In every other local market I have served the upscale hotels were my bread and butter: Palm Beach/Ft. Lauderdale, San Antonio and Nola. When I tour in Atlanta thes days I get slammed by the Westin Peachtree, the Grand Hyatt in Buckhead, the Ritz downtown and in Buckhead, etc. ....not so much though when I tour in Tampa and almost none when I tour in Houston. But in Tampa and houston I do hear from alot of local residents in their homes. Thoughts and imput from escorts and clients would be appreciated. http://www.rentboy.com/mikey9nola1 "I am about the COCK, not the CLOCK"

Interestingly enough, I'd say the same thing is true up here in Boston, Mikey...it's tapered off at the nice hotels like the Fairmont, the Westin, the Hyatt Harborside...but stayed constant in the suburbs. Incalls at my house or hotel seem to be more common- most people don't want to draw the attention to themselves. Furthermore, too many sets of eyes at super nice hotels- concierges, doormen, etc- all it takes is turning up the ears on one of these, and in starts the judgement. =(

From the viewpoint of a client, I more and more steer clear of hotels that have too much activity in terms of concierges, doormen, floor staff, and securit keys -- I would not want to put any working guy through all that to get to my room (nor have the "walk of shame" exit to contend with).

Similarly, prefer meeting guys at their place ONLY when it means not going through doormen etc... Happy medium is to find a good decent middle-range hotel with comfortable quiet room, nice furniture, centrally located, moderately priced with a BIG shower/bath, and a very discreet almost invisible staff. Then I feel less pressure calling a guy.

ok. Thank you TRISTAN! I was beginning to think it was just me. Adriano , I have had these thoughts but why now is it such a big deal and was not a big deal a year ago. I used to be at the Breakers hotel in Palm Beach 5 days aweek when I live there. In NOLA I was at the Windsor Court 3 times a week and the Ritz twice. On another similar topic: GATED COMMUNITIES!! As a new South Florida resident there is nothing more awkward than to pull up to the guard and say I am here to see Mr So and so at 1200 old foggie lane. Then the 90 year old guard ask, "And what is your business with Mr. so and so????" Then sometimes the guard has no clue who you are and has not been called or forgot that I had been cleared. Sometimes you get to the gate and there is no guard but a call box and you ring the client and he does not answer! This happened to me last tuesday after a 40 minute ride.....I got halfway home home before the client called and, embarrissingly, had to reschedule-at my place-no more god damned gates! For the love of God why does someone need to live behind a gate on a golf course! Seriously, in Naples, Florida there are not marauding gangs of criminals lol!

please more imput on this from clients/escorts. this is a big deal

one more hilarious story about gated communities: We have the biggest one in the world here called Miromar Lakes. I had a new client there who was young and cute- he said. So I went out at 10 pm to see him and the guard cleared me at the gate. I had to give my last name and he took down my tag number, penis size, next of kin etc....lol! So I drive 2 miles to where mapquest told me to turn and all was well until I encountered a monstrous solid steel 30 foot high and 20 foot across gate blocking my path. Ok, are yall following me, a gated community within a gated community....kind of like wearing 2 rubbers! Client did not bother to inform me of the second beast. There was no guard there only a call box to which I did not have the code. no last name of my client on the box. He had turned off his cell and was in the pool waiting for me having left the door open trusting his 2 gates to keep out the marauding band of holligans in Naples. I sat there half an hour and left. Client ended up coming to my place two days later. at least he was cute..........

I was never crazy about gated communities. That's a Florida thing as far as I know. Even the projects were being turned into gated communities  People move to a gated community, and now they're uppity. But then again, sometimes the neighborhood you want may be in a gated community. I think its a bunch of riff raff and I haven't been to one as long as I can remember, it's usually a building (which isn't much easier) or any residence is in the gayborhood areas with no gates.

I don't think anyone need to worry about concierge/doormen/etc. I was once at the Ritz, met the guy in the bar over dinner and then headed back upstairs with him. And previous times I've met guys downstairs at the bar and had drinks together. Just the other day, I gave one of my clients a 'straight guy' hug as the valets bought up both of our cars the next morning.

Although being discreet is important, sometimes it's fun to play with service men's/waiters/waitresses heads. Make them wonder and think, "maybe they are together." And I think some clients actually like being seen in public with a hot younger guy LOL. Especially when they are out of town...they don't have a care in the world. Like yeah, he's my date tonight!

Yeah, occasionally. There's one place where I always find curb parking a few feet from the door so I don't have to valet/park.

Same with me in Tallahassee and I'll be discovering that once I get to south Florida in a couple of weeks.
