Vanity Fair is reporting that columnist, writer, and author Christopher Hitchens has died at the age of 62, Hitchens, never known for shutting his mouth, much to the delight of his many fans, was often controversial but never boring. The British writer suffered from complications of pneumonia, and a complication of esophageal cancer. An avowed atheist, he finally gets the answer to that big question!

Felt so conflicted about him the last 10 years. Atheist, score. Liberal, score. Excellent writer, score score score. But post-9/11 he flipped and became a neocon and his reasons seemed SO irrational. Still, brilliant writer.
