World AIDS day 2011

Today is WORLD AIDS DAY. What did you do or plan to do in conjunction with this significant day?

 

In the past I participated in special programs and candle lighting services and remembered those whose lives I touched through my volunteering on three special Boards which were part of AIDS-related organizations.

 

Today, for me, will be one of reflection and remembering and being thankful! It will also be one in which I will continue to spread the word and educate and raise awareness to those who have little knowledge about this horrendous and debilitating disease!!!

In the title I had AIDS capitalized; I don't know how the letter turned out to be in lower case!

Nothing special today. For the last 15 years I have given help on a daily basis to friends who are HIV positive. Financial support, grocery shopping, cleaning, picking up prescriptions, taking them to doctors appointments, etc.

The board software sometimes gets a little zealous trying to keep people from SHOUTING. I fixed it but it may un-fix.
