Here's a thought... this whole thing started when a certain poster said good-bye. OK, he said he was leaving the forum, then posts a travel ad.. to me, WHO CARES? Someone else notices the post and calls attention to the fact that the escort had left the forum and is posting again.. again, I say WHO CARES? If someone posts that he is leaving the forum and returns and that upsets you, block him.. you'll never have to read his posts again. The name-calling and negativity that usually results is getting very boring. If someone posts something that I don't agree with and I care strongly enough to respond, it's much easier to say "I don't agree with you", than to attack him personally, call him names, etc. Just a thought.

As a reminder for everyone: state your opinion about the original post. Don't comment on the comments.[/color]

Steven, point taken, but sometimes the comments beg a question and do not warrant opening a new thread. I didnt realize there were rules on how and to what you are to respond. Sometimes an off the cuff comment lightens the mood or gives clarity to the sujbect matter. I apologize if I havent followed the Rules..of which I was not aware.

Orbital, I am curious to know WHY it is OK for someone to write a nasty post with negative opinions, BUT it is not OK for another person to comment on it. ?

I am just trying to figure out how the members minds (such as yours) works... since you did respond to my post above...

Actually, my response just happened to fall past your posting. If I was responding to just you, I would have used the Reply With Quote option (as I have with this post). My post was an overall comment....including the original post and all the subsequent posts.

Cue the mud...
