Hi guys,I will be in New Orleans in December-first visit.What can I expect?Where are the boys(hustler bars-cruisy streets etc..)Are there any stripper bars or theatres(like the Nob Hill,or the bars in Montreal)

And what is the current police policy?

Ahh New Orleans....

they have go go boys (I think weekends mostly) and lovely bartenders. There is real fun to be had upstairs, especially when there is a guest performer

And I just got back from New Orleans yesterday! Based on information I got from this board and other research, I tried to check out TT's (on N. Rampart) which advertises "Big Meat Male Danseurs", but they were not even open on Sunday night.

 

So the only gay thing I did was visit the Flex Baths ... it was VERY slow there.

 

From what I could gather, there are no places like Nob Hill; and nowhere do they get totally naked. So much for "The Big Easy...."

I will reiterate the quote that was burned into my memory from my first trip solo to New Orleans:

"This towel is here soley for a measure of personal modesty on my part...touch me wherever you like"

--largely endowed dancer at the Bourbon Pub who had a towel wrapped around his waist (often seen allowing patrons to sample him orally while he dances on the bar)

I found there to be so much free sex and play with hot guys going on in the Big Easy (and NO it wasn't just me), I would think the escorts would get run out of business.

I've actually never had sex in New Orleans but I had to make a conscious effort NOT to...otherwise I'm sure I would have found myself in the midst of all sorts of vile acts that I would have thouroughly enjoyed.

I'm sorry that TT's wasn't open. I think you would have liked it. Since it is in a "not-so-nice" part of town, the dancers can get away with a lot more than at the other bars (even Corner Pocket). The place is very small; therefore when the dancers dance on the bar, they are literally "in your face".

Yeah, I'm sure I would have liked TT's as well. And the Frommer's Guide I had showed that it was supposed to open with dancers on Sundays... can't figure out what the deal was. I was there around 10 PM.

 

As for the neighborhood-- I had to drive around the block several times to find a parking place; I ended up parking about three-four blocks down on Rampart... the neighborhood seemed OK, but then I'm not a local. Corner Pocket was only a couple of blocks away, but I guess it's more into the tourist part of the Quarter.

 

BTW, I tried to check out the places to go by trying to find a copy of the local gay rag-- couldn't find it in Virgin, Tower, Bookstar ... finally found one at the bathhouse, but by then it was too late (I was leaving the next day.)
