> Kapeesh? :*

Kapeech? you bet. You exposed a portion of your personality and belief structure that isn't good for business (or Derek's!). Complicated by your addiction to soapboxes which causes you to go on and on and on about it.

If Paxil continues to be ineffective I suggest trying your own message board... you could call it 'Rick, all Rick, all the time!'

The only thing I ever expose here is my ass but thanks for...well, just thanks. And I think Derek can take care of himself. :*

The only things I'm addicted to are: ebay, Entenmann's, and men. But again, thanks for taking the time to post. :*

Oh, isn't one shameless self-promoter in the family enough?? I know I've had enough.

I'm not sure where the nastiness is coming from; you did this to me once before, like 3 months ago, & then emailed me an apology. You don't have to do it again, though; I'll just re-read that old one. :p (Good luck with the escorting career, btw.)

Is Rick a self-promoter? Sure he is. But what escort who posts on this board isn't? And so what if he is? It's a message board and most posters seem to enjoy his posts. Although I have only been posting for a couple of weeks now, I've been reading this board for about 2 years now and have often times found his posts fairly humorous. And I've also noticed that he is generally kind to the other members of this board. But I suspect that after what he posted regarding gays who vote Republican, a light bulb went off in his head and he thought, "Oh shit! I'll bet a large part of my potential client base votes Republican and I just insulted them! I better do some damage control and quick!" So what?

I also think you need to not let his posting "on and on" as you put it bother you and just recognize it for what it is. Reading his posts over time has allowed me to come to the following conclusion about Rick:

He posts on and on because he gets an enormous amount of attention when he does. Amazingly, he can start a thread on just about any issue, no matter how insignificant, and get an avalanche of guys drooling, complimenting him, and fawning over his every word. In summary, this board is where he goes to feel like a somebody. Outside of this board, he's a nobody. And yes, that is just a supposition on my part.

But, so what if it is all about getting attention? He gets all this attention that makes him feel good about himself and the posters get all this attention from Rick whom they find attractive. It seems to me like a win-win situation for all involved.

These are all very good points. I have only two things to add.

One is that escorts who post here have a choice. They can post their opinions anonymously without worrying about the effect on their business. Or they can post under their working names as a form of free advertising. Or they can do both, and I'm sure some do. So any complaints they make about the risks of posting their frank opinions here make no sense and should be ignored.

The other is that free speech can be a bitch. Right after 9/11 Bill Maher and a few other people who dared to express opinions critical of Bush or America in the media were buried in an avalanche of negative replies. Some said the critics' right to free speech was being restricted. It wasn't. The way it works is, you have a right to express your opinions, and the people who don't like your opinions have the same right. So escorts who post here ought to stop acting as though people who criticize their posts are doing something wrong. Free speech is not your property, it belongs to everyone equally.

Thank you for the pop psychoanalysis, Dr. Joyce Brothers. I post often because I like to post. It's a great outlet for my humor. I rarely know anyone's ever even gotten the joke or appreciated what I've said until someone emails me to say I made them laugh (which isn't often). If I'm getting an "enormous amount of attention," it's sure being done in a covert way.

>Amazingly, he can start a thread on

>just about any issue, no matter how insignificant, and get

I rarely start threads. I know this because when I go to start a thread, I have to stop & think for minute about how to do that (I'm so used to hitting "reply with quote"). My posting style is more hit-n-run: I see a post that I can make some smartass reply to, I do it, and I'm done. I started a couple of political-flavored threads before the elections, but the posts that followed were not directed at me; they were directed at each other as the Dems & Repubs here fought it out. I did start one a few days ago, asking advice on dogs, and it received the same amount of attention as anyone else's thread on dogs would have. We obviously have many pet lovers here. I don't see anyone fawning or drooling in that thread (although some posters recommended breeds who do just that).

>In summary, this board is

>board, he's a nobody.

That is hysterical. "In summary"...like there's been some case study done about me. Dr. Joyce is workin' overtime. This board is where I am involved because this is my career, because I like to write, and because I just love how my little ass pic appears every time I post. :p

Wrong. It is just never my style or intent to insult anyone, and I even stated, "this is not damage control." Also, I have no idea how many of my potential clients vote Republican, nor do I care (although I would suspect it is not, as you say, a large percentage). I don't discuss politics with clients. I'm not hired as a political analyst! :p

Nasty?? hmmmm. When I first joined the 'message center'in late July I quickly became nauseated by your repetitive "Derek can do that..." response to just about EVERYTHING. I posted a few comments with the hopes you'd tone it down. We took this topic off-line and talked on the phone. We reached an understanding. And yes, I extended an olive branch with a 'succinct' apology. The apology was 'posted' not emailed. It was an act of kindness.

You don't have to do it again, though; I'll just

>re-read that old one. :p

Perfect... don't forget your dictionary.

>(Good luck with the escorting

Again, more of your true personality emerges... this statement is malicious and would make you two things 1) a liar and 2) libel. I've forwarded this thread to a colleague for confirmation on the second. I'm sure we'll be able to locate you thru some Who's Who book of Whores.

I've NEVER escorted. I have enough trouble giving it away.

I have posted two reviews on this site; both under Enchanted008. When I closed that email account I asked Hooboy if my reviews could follow this handle... he said "no... it would compromise my integrity." Go figure.

Keep going...
