I saw him in strip club in San Francisco in the late 80's. I guess. I don't recall him being short. IMDB lists his height as 5'11" and smutjunkies lists him as 5'10".

I remember him walking past me in line. I don't recall him being much taller than me (I have to look up to someone 5'10").

 

I also rather think that those are based on press releases and publicity, which are more written to flatter the artist and impress the public.

 

Let's see if we can tease this one out another way: I saw Randy White at a yard sale once. He was probably about 6'.

 

I seem to remember that JS co-starring in a scene with Randy White (in a house that I think was the one where Randy White actually lived at the time). If you can remember that scene, do you remember them being similar height? I think I remember JS being rather shorter.

Although I have never seen any of his movies, I met Joey Stefano in the early 1990s, probably 1992 or 1993 (soon before his early death in 1994). He was dancing at a strip club my friends and I visited one weekend--and then we retired to another gay bar. Stefano showed up at the bar around midnight or 12.30am.

 

My recollection is that Stefano was between 5.8 and 5.10 tall. It was apparent that he had led a hard life; if someone had told me he was only 25 years old (or in that vicinity), I'd have been very surprised. He was sky high at the bar and stood by himself nursing a drink for a while. Although he was wasted and had lost his boyish looks and buff body, he retained a charisma that apparently lit up his movies.

 

Before Stefano, the top porn stars were Tops like Jeff Stryker et al., but apparently Stefano was famous as the biggest Bottom star of that era--the guy who made bottoming sexy. (I still do not watch porn but gather that many stars flip these days.)

 

By the way, here is a clip I found by googling Stefano. Many images, including some reminding me of the young Tom Cruise. Stefano has Cruise's shit-eating smile and handsome face in some of these images.

So many Porn ACTORS have come and gone over the Year's. Most will never be remembered by their Stage Name.

 

But Stefano will probably be discussed from time to time for many more years to come....

If that's true, then Jon Vincent was well over 7', and I don't think that was so. He was a big guy, but not freakishly tall.

 

Stefano didn't exactly tower over Madonna in her "Sex" book, and she's 5'4".

 

When they're larger than life, that's how we remember them. But it isn't always so.

No, I do remember it was RW and JS. I remember part of it was shot to see the high, beamed ceiling in the house and I recognized it as the house where RW was living at the time, having seen in the front door from a distance more than once.

 

It was also very poorly shot, so it might not be part of something that made it into the digital era. I wonder if the Stefano bio (I like to call it more a "valentine" than a bio, myself, having read it!) lists his complete credits.

I talked to Joey in a bar in south Jersey in '91 for ten-fifteen minutes. My guess would be 5'9" or 5'10'...actually taller then I expected. He was not tiny, sorry but 5'5" is ridiculous.

I just remembered that Joey played a stripper, called in to do a "private party". He danced for a moment, then went on to do "other duties as required."

Around 1992 or 93, Joey was dancing at a bar in Atlanta. I tipped him and he kissed me. I still remember that kiss fondly.
