I saw this in someones profile and thought it was very appropriate in this day and age.

 

The seven greatest detriments to our social well being are:

Wealth without Work!

Pleasure without Conscience!

Knowledge without Character!

Commerce without Reality!

Science without Humanity!

Worship without Personal Sacrifice!

Politics without Principle!

 

geez...I always just thought these were my pet peevs. Meanwhile... they are true to the bone.
