Hi guys: the other day I posted a question under Ask the Escorts and although 143 people to date have viewed the question I did not get a single response. . . how odd! Wondered if I had asked the forbidden

question: "Blow Jobs without condoms? Dangerous??" or perhaps I

simply tried to get at the answer in the wrong way.

Thus I am trying again by posting on the general conference site. This time I am NOT asking individuals what they practice or even believe on the topic, but what do you think that those of us in the gay community believe about giving a blow job without a condom? Taking cum in the mouth? Are precum and cum dangerous? I have been surprised by the thinking of several escorts that it is not dangerous and it is okay to take cum in the mouth as long as you don't swallow.

Feedback would be appreciated.

Thanks deej! Sorry, I am so new to the board. . . will search the archives for discussion on the topic. I would guess you are right, the veterans are probably tired of this topic. I'm still uncertain as to the answer, so I will delve into the archives.

About ten years ago, a health professional informed me that

one should use a condom during oral sex. She encouraged me to

do so, stating that condoms come in various flavors, such as

chocolate, etc. I told her then, and will repeat it now -

"I rather enjoy the natural flavor."

You can hear anything and everything on this subject. As for

me, and I believe for many in the gay community, protection

is more the norm in anal sex, but not in oral. As for

swallowing cum, that is a different matter. I suspect that

is not the norm. I base this on converstions with others.

However, I encourage you to do all the research needed and

using your own good judgement in protecting yourself.

Good advise has been given here previously: One should assume

that everyone has HIV. Keeping that in mind, and without

resorting to celebacy, make your sexual activity choices.

I was one of the 100+ that viewed and opted not to respond, in addition to the fact that it has been talked to death, because I try really hard to limit my negative and caustic responses to important issues or posts that are not (double negative intended :) NONSENSICAL.

By that, I don't discount the importance of the topic, but you were asking a serious medical question of a board of anonymous screen names as if you were going to base your future conduct on the answers here. I thought that was stupid and suicidal and wasn't worth my efforts to answer.

If you really are interested in the answers to your questions, there are web pages established by professionals for just that purpose, which are readily searchable in google and other browsers--the CDC page for starters, but many better ones. Once you do the research and know the risks, then you need to evaluate for yourself the risk-benifit ratios :+
