Hey Guys;

I'm going to post this in "The Lounge" as well....Looking for a few pointers on working in Dubai?

I was recently offered a 3-4 month gig there (in my "other job") & was curious if anybody has worked as an escort there? I'm trying to get as much info (and varied as well), before committing to this..

Any help would be appreciated from both the escort & client side.

No personal experience with escorting in Dubai, but a friend of mine (escort/porn actor) from London goes there regularly and says the business is good.

 

I've been to Kuwait on business, and while homosexuality is unlawful, I'd say that a lot of things happen behind closed doors.

I have a great deal of respect for Steven and his experience, but I have to disagree with his advice. See my comments in the posting in the Lounge. I don't think the risks are worth it. I have heard of escorts going to Dubai and AbuDubai and having a great time, but they were there as "business companions" with their host, but even that I would not recommend.

I've said that an escort friend of mine travels regularly to Dubai and has great business there (that's called sharing information).

 

My second point was that I've spent a week in Kuwait, and mentioned that whilst certain rules are very strict, they're not enforced "in private".

 

Do I need to clarify any further?

What I acknowledged is that there is a gay (escort) life present in Dubai. Many guys who advertise there on Rentboy actually reside in another country so there are not many guys who are actually IN TOWN. I know that there are so called "underground places" / underground scenes for gay escort life however I never really got involved in it as I was there with one specific client for 2 weeks so we did not do any research on that topic.

I know if you get caught it is no fun at all. "White people/ visitors" are your best bets obviously because of the relatively low(er) risk. I did hear from an official source that every now and then they DO gay escort busts... very rarely though but it exists. Guys charge a lot more per hour there because of the cost of living is extremely high (2-3X higher than in Vegas) and btw internet is restricted. You can't load rentboy or any other gay website. (I tried) . However you can avoid all those with a proxy... No public affection (straight/gay/bi/whatever) is tolerated anywhere even though Dubai is getting more and more liberal... they are still far away from being actual liberal

If they see you walking into a hotel room with another male however the staff care less... I stayed with my client in one bed suites and nobody asked any questions so they are OK with that.
