"Iphigenia in Tauride"

"Masterpieces at the Metropolitan Opera" will broadcast Gluck's opera "Iphigenia in Tauride" tomorrow, Sunday, May 29, at 1:00 EDT on PBS with Placido Domingo and Sharon Graham. A number of other operas from this year's HD series will be broadcast during the summer on Sunday afternoons. Plus the six operas to be broadcast in theaters in HD! It's going to be a great summer for opera for those of us outside New York!

Thanks for the heads-up Karl. I just checked my local staiton and they are running it at noon, so everyone might want to check their own PBS station's schedule to see when their own local broadcast starts.

 

Just one small correction though: Susan Graham. A truly magnificent mezzo.
