No opening day doesn't stand for the day you finally get your favorite top to spread his legs.

I just got back from Dodger Stadium having watched the Dodgers beat the champion (hated) San Francisco Giants. I am so glad that baseball is back ...especially after I completely botched my choices in the NCAA basketball tournament. Oliver can I have the $5 back?

Go Dodgers.

I watched on tv rather than Dodger Stadium but, yes, it was a good game.

Better if the Giants had won, but, what the hell, you can't have everything. ;)

Yes! After the mother of all winters thank the gods that the boys of summer are back in business! Plus, at least for the moment the Yankees have first place all to themselves... and at the very least will be tied for first place for at least another day...

However, as they say... we'll talk in October as that's when it really counts!

MS Guy, I watched on TV as well and I live 6 miles from Dodger Stadium. I'm a Giants fan. The last time I was in Dodger Stadium was 4 years ago for a Giants game. I got kicked out for wearing orange and being the target of Dodger fan misbehavior. As the LAPD officer who escorted me out said, "We'd rather kick one good Giants fan out than deal with all these idiots in the parking lot." Seems like there are idiots in the parking lot, too. I shall never return to Dodger Stadium wearing anything other than Dodger Blue.

Rangers top Red Sox in first three games...

My beloved Texas Rangers swept their opening weekend series against the Red Sox. Beginning the season 3-0...that sets a nice tone to start the year. :)

I am neither a Dodgers fan nor a Giants fan. I tuned in last night because I am a huge Buster Posey fan!!

Me, too! Rookie of 2010 Buster Posey could Busta Pose for me anytime any where.

But Brandon Belt, rookie first baseman is getting my attention for a menagé between home plate and first base and ME!

One of the things on my "bucket list" when I retired last year was to spend a month in Florida during baseball spring training. I just returned home to cold and rainy NNJ last week after enjoying watching my NY Yankees in Tampa. There is something about watching baseball in the early spring after a cold winter in the northeast which rejuvinates me. I attended my first Yankees game in 1957 and have been a faithful fan during the good times and the bad times and I am looking forward to a summer of baseball. The only negative for me was attending opening day in NY and having to wear my winter coat at the game after spending a month in shorts and t-shirts in Florida. Other than the Yankee win on opening day, the other positive was the Red Sox loss. Go Yankees!

What do you mean opening day? Have we started yet?

Sincerely,
