This was last night's offering and if you are like me and find one of the great pleasures of Shakespeare to be the diversity with which it can be presented, then zip over to Brooklyn and treat yourself to the most farcical two-hours of slapstick 400-year old comedy. Had I not seen it yet, and had the Brantley review, I would be running to see this, because as always he is impervious to humor and his list of the shows offenses: mariachi band, nunchucks, pokings and poundings, sound gags and a down-home revival preacher, all appealed to my curiosity.

I am a huge fan of the all-male troupe Propeller, who make annual sojourns to the Harvey Theater, and they did not disappoint. Yes, there's enough eye poking and crowbar swinging for this to have been a Three Stooges short, but this talented band of 14 totally engage the senses.

I took a young co-worker without a lot of Shakespeare under her belt...this is a fun and silly introduction, and she loved it. As did I.

If you go, make sure you get to the lobby during intermission for the concert.
