Zhangjiajie (Zhang family homeland) is a city in China famous for its Wulingyuan National Park. The park has many tall pillar like structures naturally formed by many years of erosion. Many trees and plants covers these pillar like structures and mountains. I only stayed here for two days but it was time well spent. Usually it takes at least one week to cover the whole area. It is not that well known to westerners but I saw a couple of European and American travelers hiking the area. One night we didn't have hot water in our room but other than that we had a great time. The pictures are not mine. They are gathered from several websites. I might upload mine depending on my friend's permission. Hugs~~

Tianmen. I took a cable car (the Tianmen cableway is 7.2 km long) from the city and got off at the mid-cable station stop and took a bus all the way to Tianmen. They say it has 999 steps leading to the world's highest natural cave. Since I didn't count them I have no idea. Tianmen is famous for a flying competition that was held in 1999 when small plane pilots tried to pass through that hole.

Small tip: Oh make sure that you take toilet papers with you when you travel in China. Otherwise..

Greatness, spectacular photos. Were you in china recently? I was there last year and had a blast. Really enjoyed Lijiang, Chengdu, Shanghai, Beijin, Xi'an, and of course the great wall. The scenery is just mind boggling. Thank you for sharing!
