A friend loaned me the DVD of the old Warren Beatty/Natalie Wood film, Splendour in the Grass. From 1961. Wow, Warren Beatty in 1961 (his first starring role in a film)! Was this man a gorgeous youngster!! You get some shirtless scenes, too. Otherwise the film is a bit stilted. They were still inhibited in 1961 from saying stuff on screen that everybody says today. And, the story is set in 1928-29 when everybody was even more inhibited. The story is about the wierd sexual inhibitions that parents imposed on their kids in the 1920s, and how it could wreck people's lives.

 

PS - Beatty plays a high school stud who's the star quarterback on the football team. And there is a shower-room football team scene that has to be seen to be believed.
