You must be way up north on the North Island if it is that warm. :) I think mid-80's is about as hot as it ever gets even there. However, this is mid-summer, so it won't get any warmer. Are you traveling all about or mainly hanging in AKL? Christchurch is really an interesting place to visit, if you don't have plenty of folks to guide you in the right direction. :)

Have fun.

Best regards,

Oh Peter,

I am jealous. I LOVE NEW ZEALAND... the citizens there are so friendly, love American's and have one of the most beautiful countries in the world. I hope you get to both islands, as they are very different. You can go from the beach to heli-skiing and everything inbetween. Have fun, which I am sure you will have!!!!!!!!!!! Love to hear some reports of your travels if you don't mind sharing...

Hi KMEM,

Thanks for your post :) Actually I am down in Christchurch but will be moving all over in NZ... (Fox glacier helicopter ride, Queenstown, bungee jumping...etc.) Believe it or not, today it will go up as high as 93 F (!) .. that is going to be very-very hot as you said it never really goes higher than mid80's... But it is summertime here, so people have to deal with that (I certainly do not mind, I love hot weather... much more prefer than cold!)

Hugs!

Hey sweetie,

Thanks! I have only been here for 1 day in New Zealand but I have to agree with you! Kiwi people are incredibly friendly... You can really feel the "UK" vibe here, some parts of the country feels like Scotland, some parts feel like Ireland and some parts feel like England... But people are very-very friendly even at official places such as immigration or customs. Yes, I will get to both islands all over so I certainly look forward to exploring more parts of this wonderful country. I definitely do not mind sharing stories but I do it via my blog! You are more than welcome to check out my blog as it gets refreshed twice daily! /Currently my travel to UAE and Sudan is on but as soon as that ends this travel comes up/

You take care and hope to see you next time you are in Vegas /unless we connect somewhere else :p /

XOXO

Perhaps escaping from 25 degrees makes 75 FEEL like 90+. :) Because you mentioned it I looked up the forecast for the next several days and the highest high was 75 and some days only about 60 with the "usual" threat of showers. Regardless, beats the heck out of the winter we are having here. :)

Have fun while you are there and don't fall in the Avon River, although you could probably "walk out of it". :)

Best regards,

Hey KMEM,

Yes, it was only yesterday when it went up to 90 Fahrenheit! The rest of the week will be around 70's which is very pleasant... But yes, it does beat everything I had in the USA

Some pics from Christchurch plus the "local gay store" but was not able to figure out what this was really

Hi dear LH,

Thanks for your sweet message. I hope you and Gary are well... I also can't wait to see you again!!! Until that... here is my jump :)))

It was pretty exciting ,especially because the instructor who I was jumping with (who by the way has been doing this for 25 years!) forgot to attach me to himself... A minute before we jumped out I asked him if he attached me to himself properly as I can't feel it is tight enough... Then he said totally suprisingly: OH... NO... but I will now... LOL!

Glad I asked...

Hey Peter,

Thanks for the video of your skydiving and also a shot of you in Auzzie land. I know you are having and will continue to have a great time. Australia and especially Sydney is my favorite spot in the whole world, sorry, next to Hawaii. I hope you get to go scuba diving on the Great Barrier Reef... and I know you will enjoy the friendly guys in Australia! Enjoy and looking forward to hearing all about it when you get back.

Hi my dear,

Thanks for your post! Yes, I have been having a BLAST over here! New Zealand was simply incredible. The best place in NZ was Queenstown. Small town with lakes and rivers, felt like a real "college town" ... Only cute young guys and girls were working in every shop/store you went into... Everybody had a fun attitude there, weather was nice (a bit cool though), the town is walkable INCREDIBLE scenery and everything is within 5 minutes away at the most. Great-GREAT-GREAT town! I highly advise it to everybody who ever visits NZ or Australia...

I do not have scuba diving in my plans but definitely have the Great Barrier Reef in my plans ;) The weather is much nicer here than it was in NZ, more humid and more sunny... I like it! :)

No fucking way I would have jumped after that little oversight! The instructor would have had to break both my wrists just to prize me loose from my seat.

You are so hot~~~ I love your sunglasses too. :) I think I know the hotel you are staying at.

Hi Peter,

Sometime we will have to get a group together to go to Australia and go to Hayman Island (probably the resort for the original "Lifestyles of the Rich and Famous"). Only one resort on the island and you can snorkel and scuba right off the beach. It is the most beautiful spot I have ever stayed, and being able to walk ten feet from my room into the warm ocean was a delight. I agree with you about all the young and cute guys and girls in Queenstown (I think it is aptly named).

Funny thing is, he has been doing this for over 25 years... little did it help when it was my turn though :D

Oh well... It was a lesson that I learned... even when you do not know anything about a specific subject (such as tandem jumping) you can always ask questions and there is no such a thing as a stupid/silly question. It literally saved my life this time :)

Thanks greatness :) I was staying at the Novotel Lakeside Hotel and had a nice lakeview room :)

Hey,

COUNT ME IN!!! :) I am sure that would be a lot of fun... Here in Australia I am at Port Stephens at the moment and my client has a beachside house so it is very nice over here. I also have Newcastle, Brisbane, Hamilton Island, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth in the itinerary so I am pretty sure that I will see all "faces" of Australia :) The weather is nice and sweet so I am heading out to the beach now!

Some pics taken from the balcony of the house:
