Look for a Washington, DC Hotel recommendation

I'm going to be making a trip to Washington, DC early next year. Can anybody recommend a good hotel in town. Hopefully someplace that's escort accessible and friendly I'm not looking for the Ritz Carlton, but, I don't want The Roach Motel either. Thanks in advance for any advice

JW Marriott on Pennsylvania Ave is not bad Chuck

Try Jury's right on DuPont Circle (NH Ave). Reasonable, friendly, right on a Metro stop, and you couldn't ask for a better location.

I usualy stay at the Radisson Barcelona at 19th and P -- walking distance to most bars.

I always stay at the Courtyard on Embassy Row. It is a Marriott hotel at 1600 Rhode Island Ave. NW and very close to Dupont Circle and the Metro. It is fairly small, and no seems to notice one's cummings and goings. :9
