I'm headed to the Big Easy next month. I've been there once before, about 10 years ago, but the only gay thing I did was visit the Midtowne Spa (twice!)

I'd like to partake of some of the strippers ... and I'm especially partial to non-white gentlemen. Any suggestions as to where I might go for prime viewing opportunities? Any reviews?

Thanks in advance...

Sounds like you should take a foray into the Rampart Street neighborhood. Rampart street is a main boulevard on the edge of the French Quarter. It is be considered to be exciting, seedy & dangerous. It is the home of several gay clubs which have an ethnically diverse clientele. If you are looking for Black men this is definitely the place to go. Rough trade? Exactly. Although the scene is not as bad as a lot of people make it out to be. Use your street smarts walking between bars and when making any deals.

For strippers you might try TT's at 820 North Rampart. They have "Big Meat Male Dancers" Friday & Saturday. The crowd is a mix of hustler boys, transsexuals and drag queens. Everything you see is usually available for purchase. Don't forget to try Orlando's Society Page at 532 N Rampart. This is a more quiet bar where one is likely to find older Black and Hispanic Men. You can usually find some beautiful young Black men to purchase time with there also. Other places to stop while you are in the hood include the new dance club Studio 504 at 834 N. Rampart & the Voodoo Lounge at 718 N Rampart.

If you are looking for beautiful, higher priced companions you should journey up to (4 blocks from Rampart) Bourbon Street and visit OZ at the corner of St Ann and Bourbon. If your tastes run broader and include Asian, Latino or Middle Eastern men then this is the place to be. Here you will find the most diverse crowds on Friday and Saturdays. Both Oz and the Bourbon Pub (which is directly across the street from Oz) typically have strippers on the weekends. The Pub is often host to some of the guys that are reviewed here - especially on holiday weekends.

Hope this helps. Have a safe and fun visit in New Orleans! Remember on weekends the boys and the crowds do not really come out unitl midnight. Pace yourself and don't go out too early.

There is a section of reviews of Saunas & Strip Clubs and I think there is one for New Orleans. Click on Escort Reviews (up top) and it's underneath the list of states.

Go to the horizontal navigation bar at the top of this page. Click on 'Escort Reviews'. In the right-hand frame you will get a listing of all the states in 5 columns. Scroll down below that. In the middle column you will see 'Saunas & Strip Clubs'. Click on that. You will get a listing of strip clubs in 3 columns. Scroll down and find the last item in the third column. 'New Orleans Strip Clubs'. Click on that.
