There are two lifesaving bills that are under consideration by the New York City Council that would help reduce the suffering of dogs in your hometown.

Intro. 328 would encourage New Yorkers to spay and neuter their animals by raising the license fee for an unaltered dog from $11.50 to $34.00. The new surcharge would fund low-cost spay-and-neuter services.

Intro. 425 would make it illegal to chain a dog up outside for more than three hours in a 12-hour period.

If you live in any of the Big Apple's five boroughs, be sure to encourage your City Council member to vote in favor of these vitally needed bills!
