Well we are now at 10 guests and still climbing. I have spoken with Annie's and we will be able to get a reservation wtih a group this size so I will contact everyone a few days ahead of time and give them the final information. Guys, there's still plenty of room to join us. We've added 4 guests this week. With 2 weeks to go, at this rate is 15-18 or more possible? That would be just amazing. And we have NYC, Buffalo, Phoenix and Richmond included, so it's not just DC only. So consider it DC/Baltimore/Annapolis/Richmond guys and let me know. Thanks and see you all there.

So we now stand at 11. Just to officially announce (although many of you knew already) that Dave (Rockin) will also be joining us for lunch as well and I am glad that he will be joining us as well.

So who is next to join the cavalcade?

I am based in DC, but I often skip town on the three-day weekends, including the upcoming MLK Day. Had I been in town, I surely would have joined you. I am sure it will be a great time. I hope I can be part of the gathering next time.

Gee...if I didn't already have a schedule impediment, I would be tempted to hop a plane just to have lunch with the beltway boys. Yall enjoy!

JJT -- I'm truly sorry you can't make it up to our little git-together. I would have loved to have had you up here. I guess I'll just have to wait a few more weeks until Palm Springs to finally meet you. But you are always welcome to these gatherings.

Richard -- I can surely understand the desire to escape DC at times for the three day weekend. Look at me. I left for a three day weekend and forget to move back. That was 25 years ago :). Considering the interest we're getting here, I think it's safe to say we'll can plan another get together in the future.

Now the other question on the table for the attendees (and for those who can't make the lunch) -- Countryboywny had mentioned about going to Secrets on Saturday night I believe it was. Anyone else going to be joining countryboy?

Lee,

A friend from Alabama visited me here in LA recently and I was the tour guide. We went to the Hustler Store for amusement and he saw some paddles. In typical Southern Redneck fashion, he said, "Why would anybody pay $75 for a paddle when you could go to BassProShops and get a 3-1/2' canoe paddle for $11.99?" LOL!

After all, they're Ergonomic with a contoured handle and have a Laminated blade for added strength

Well, let me know Leigh's FAVORITE after you've used all three on that bad boy. ROFL!

Well I do have to go by a HUGE Bass Pro Shop on the way up to DC -- just north of Ashland Virginia. I'll check to see what time they open. But with fisherman, I bet it's early. :)

Do they come in any size other than HUGE? I don't think so.

Maybe after Dave gives it to you with his, he will give his to you...

I'm arriving on Saturday afternoon with an open schedule. I'm planning on being out and about, enjoying the scene that DC offers, so if anyone wants to meet up with me, feel free to pm me. A couple of things on my agenda are Nellie's on Sat/Sun afternoons (love the people there), meals at Annie's and, of course, Secrets at night (LOVE the boys). I'm staying at a Dupont Circle hotel.

OK. Reservations at Annie's have been made for 11:15 on Monday, January 17th. As of now, we have 12 attendees, but there certainly is room for more. So if you are in the DC/Baltimore/Richmond area and you would like to join us, let me know and I'll fill you in on the details. For those of you who have already let me know, a PM will be coming to you shortly. We're only a week away. I can't believe it's finally upon us I'm looking forward to meeting each of you. Have a great week and see you at Annie's.

Just giving this thread a bump as a reminder to those attending, and to those who may have missed it but are interested.

Have a great time!

I was hoping that we could get as many of the DC members of the message forum to meet for lunch on Monday, January 17.

Lee, Thanks for suggesting and arranging this Hooville lunch. I hope you and the others have a great time... Getting to meet the person behind the username can be a pleasant or surprising experience. You guys have a common interest and I'm sure you'll have a lot to talk about.

Enjoy!

Coop
