Hey guys back from vacation

 

I have a question-does anyone out there do any Martial Arts of any kind i'm thinking along the lines of something to de-stress not the Bruce Lee kick-ass type of stuff.

 

I'm looking for something to do preferably alone not part of a group as group stuff would probably be hampered by the shifts that i work,sorry if this sounds a bit weird its just that i started boxing again about 3 months ago as part of my fitness program skipping rope and working out with a punchbag but would like to do something less aggressive.

 

I want something to calm me down after a stressful day at work and i have been told by a couple of folks that there are some types of martial arts that could help me is this true ?

I've been taking jiu jitsu for about the last five or six months.

I've enjoyed it. I like the variety of it. We practice striking

motions (ppunching and kicking). Also, practice trapping and blocking. We have done some grappling, which is fun. Also, we spend

time learnign joint manipulations. There are about ten total people

who show up for classes at various time. All except one are guy, and the chick rarely comes. I'm 37 and most of the guys in the class

are early to mid-twenties.
