"You can't argue that you're a professional and compare your business to being a waiter. Accountants, Engineers, Lawyers and Doctors don't expect a tip. They expect their fee."

Wow!!! I never thought of comparing what I do to the jobs of accountants, lawyers, engineers, and doctors. Though it's flattering that you put escorts on that level, I just don't see the comparison at all. Escorting is a service industry, no education required, Though I don't do too bad...I don't make more money than a doctor.

In no means did I ever say I expect a tip every time I see a client. My observations has been that as a rule (not all the time), my richest clients rarely tip and the clients who don't have a huge disposable income do tip. Again, I never expect to get a tip and am always very thankful to my clients with or without a tip. I appreciate reading everyone's comments about tipping...Thank you to everyone who commented about tipping

Did you read what you wrote? I'd say the dude in the shower was expecting a tip and was disappointed when he didn't get one.

Where did I get that idea?

Well, here's a Wiki definition: how many characteristics relate you you?

Professional

A professional has standards.

The word professional traditionally means a person who has obtained a degree in a professional field. The term professional is used more generally to denote a white collar working person,
or a person who performs commercially in a field typically reserved for hobbyists or amateurs.

In western nations, such as the United States, the term commonly describes highly educated, mostly salaried workers, who
enjoy considerable work autonomy
, a comfortable salary, and
are commonly engaged in creative and intellectually challenging work.
Less technically, it may also refer to a person
having impressive competence in a particular activity.

Because of the personal and confidential nature of many professional services and thus the necessity to place a great deal of trust in them, most professionals are held up to strict ethical and moral regulations.

And, finally, just what is the world's oldest profession?

Though not necessary, thanks anyway for providing a Wiki definition of the word "professional" and your lessons on how I should conduct myself with my clients. We are obviously on different sides of the fence when it comes to tipping (providing a "gratuity ") I don't think tipping your escort who has gone out of his way to accommodate you or has performed beyond your expectations is unheard of. I obviously struck a nerve with you in regards to my post concerning tipping. I don't expect you will be contacting me anytime soon for a session. Thanks for providing your insight concerning this subject.

I like reading your blog! Too bad you're not in NYC ... you seem like a fun guy.

Thank you very much BaronArtz...I've been told I can be a pretty wild guy behind closed doors

Dood, I don't care if you are given a gratuity. I often give my friends gifts. But you're being hard to pin down. First, in the blog you decide in the shower you should get a tip, now I'm not sure what you're saying.

As to me contacting you for a session - aren't you anonymous and not disclosing who you are? I don't know where you are or how to contact you for a session and I thought you weren't going to mix the blog and these posts with your Escort persona. Which is it?

Hey guys if you have a chance, please check out my latest blog entry concerning clients who seem a bit too concerned about discretion. I'm also working on another entry as to some of the different reasons clients hire escorts.

Thanks,

I agree with your discretion post. I use too get that question from massage clients are you discreet? My comment was always the same, i'm certified state licensed and as discreet as your doctor, dentist or lawyer would be. I personally found the question annoying.

It's a rhetorical question designed to sooth the fears of the person who asks. Can you imgaine that anyone has ever said 'No'? :)

I think josephga's statement "I'm certified state licensed and as discrete as your doctor" is polite, compasisonate, patient, and really does

count as "No"! (and I couldn't think of a better way to put it if my life depended on it).

It depends how you look at it, I never shared my contact info with anyone. never discussed clients with others nor spoke to them in a public setting unless approached by them first. And refused to show the records too the police when asked. However being licensed you are required too to keep records and fork them over if there's a warrant to do so in my case it didn't happen but it can with anyone you go to. I knew a guy once that went to a female and used a credit card she was arrested later and her credit cards records were used in court and he had to testify. if your records are ever supenaed then discreet goes out the window. however had a few clients that had zero respect for normal discreet. Like in mentioned previous threads i had a client that met my brother under business circumstances and didn't mind giving a play by play of one of my sessions.

Sorry, I'm confused. My point was that no one is likely to say 'No' to the question 'Are you discreet?' .

What?! Straight acting isn't enough anymore?

You would think Str8 acting would be more than enough. If not, I think almost of us act very professional and would not do anything careless to draw any sort of attention to ourselves.

If you guys get a chance, please check out my latest blog entry, "Stereotyping Clients."

i was tempted to count the number of times you used the phrase 'old, fat and ugly' but...it wasn't worth it. This entry - and some others - seems to me to show a generally low opinion of and lack of respect for your clients.

As a reader who falls somewhere in that description of "old, fat, and ugly" clients (but you'll never guess which! LOL), I can't say I was offended by the phrase. The quality I appreciate most when first meeting a person is honesty. While some might not like what GQPro had to say (the truth can be so darn ouchy-painful sometimes), at least he was honest. His post covered pretty much everything I had always imagined went through the mind of a good-looking escort with respect to his (call a spade a spade) not-good-looking clients. I for one would much rather hear the bald truth from an escort than some cryptic "I'm just too busy" BS. Yet please note that GQPro also writes he was surprised by how much he has enjoyed a lot of his encounters with not-pretty clients, just as much and sometimes even more than with his pretty ones. It doesn't sound like GQPro has a low opinion of or lack of respect for his not-pretty clients -- quite the contrary. In fact, I'd feel a lot more comfortable contacting an escort for the first time if I knew he had the same attitude as GQPro toward us not-pretties.

Sorry you feel that way. I do respect all my clients. Yet, I have different opinions on each and everyone of them. Some opinions good and some not so good. However, I keep all that to myself and use the blog as an outlet to express my true opinions. They may not always be what you would like to hear.

You're calling someone's opinion a 'feeling'. Dang boy, you're in the feelings business. How can you confuse an opinion with a feeling?

Beliefs are not goosebumps - they are real opinions of the people to whom you are marketing. You cannot hide your beliefs and just 'go with the flow' - your opinions going be expressed in so many non-verbal ways!

You were correct when you said,

However, I keep all that to myself and use the blog as an outlet to express my true opinions. They may not always be what you would like to hear.
I certainly don't want to read your 'true opinions' - there is nothing there that is encouraging to a client.

Maybe you should just write a diary. I can already predict who the HERO will be.

I've obviously have struck a core with you on a few of my entries. I'm just one escort out of many with one opinon. In the entire scheme of things, what I have to say should be of very little importance to you. If you are that offended by what I have to say, the simple solution would be to not read my blog and to ignore anything I write here.

Thank you,

GQPro - not many escorts would care to write a blog about their experiences. I appreciate the time that you've taken to do so. I find it quite fascinating actually.

I think it's fun to have a lively exchange in differences of opinion (i.e.,your rich nontippers article). Anyhow, keep up the good work.

After reading over the most recent segment of this thread and then going back and re-reading GQ Pro's blog, I have to agree totally with BSR's comments. As someone who can claim at least two of the three attributes of "old, fat & ugly", I didn't find the blog offensive at all. In fact, it discussed something I was always curious about. Indeed after reading it, I think I would love to have the opportunity to see for myself how GQ Pro interacts with someone who isn't all that attractive.
