My trouble is that I hear that and all I can think of is one thing:

"What time's the next swan?"

And is Ortrud and Telramund on the guest list?

But if the guests all brought them presents can you imagine the time it took to do the thank you notes?

Nothing is quite so over the top as a bridezilla enabled by a rich daddy.

Andre Rieu (http://www.andrerieu.com) and his orchestra tour extensively doing concerts of schmaltzy Strauss waltzes and such. The Mendelssohn wedding march is right up their address. This wedding entrance was probably just more performance art for them.

(Can you imagine a bride ending her wedding ceremony by sitting in a crowded theater in that poofy gown?!!?!?! Most of them can't wait to change out of it!)

On the other hand, selling this sort of service at the beginning of regularly scheduled concerts could be quite the money maker for cash-strapped orchestras around the world. (Honolulu's is currently in bankruptcy, for example, a status they revisit every few years.)
