Hmmm this freaked me out somewhat earlier tonight decided to sample the nightlife here in San Juan and decided to go to a club, picked out one and off i went ,when i got to the door paid my entrance money as per usual and went through the security check but wasn't let into the club, when i asked what the problem was(i was a tad confused)i was told that i wasn't allowed in because the door staff didn't believe i was gay .My first reaction was to laugh because i thought they were joking but it became clear that they didnt believe me.

At this point i was looking for the cameras but it was the truth now i'm not a big club goer maybe 15 years ago but i've never had any trouble getting into gay clubs back home in the few occasions i've ventured into them in recent years, now i'll admit i am straight acting but never in a 100 years thought that would happen.

Has this happened to anyone else any time? or can anyone tell me where to buy a book on how to be 'more gay' when the occasion demands .

Apart from that everythings ok Wednesday was better than i thought it would be and the guys are getting cuter by the day and i gotta date tonight (Sat)with the CUTEST young guy i met in the bar afterwards back at the hotel after my experience he's 22 at University and has an ass to DIE for and is slim, toned black hair brown eyes and looks at though he packs quite a bulge in his tight pants i'll find out later :p (hopefully)

Hope everyone is fine and feeling cool .

RushNY I hope they at least refunded your money. If not sounds like a scam to me :(

I think I might have picked out the hottest-looking guy at the door and said: "You drop your pants. I'll suck your dick. You decide if I'm gay or not." :-)

Sounds like the night turned out ok anyway. Have fun with your new friend.

Try quoting some of Fin Fang Foom's posts. You'll not only sound like a major queen, you'll probably get bashed, too.

Rush, next time DON'T use your police badge for ID. :+

I honestly never heard of this before. However, a few years ago in Fort Lauderdale, I did see a sign at a major hotel that read, "Straight Clients Only". x(

Something similar happened to me a few years ago during a visit to San Francisco.

I was walking down Castro street one Saturday night, when two guys came up to me and insisted that I should leave. They said that the Castro was for gay people and that they didn't appreciate it when straight guys wandered in to "gawk at the fags."

At the time, I was too flustered to think of a good response, but I would love to have used Boston Guy's suggestion of offering the cutest guy a blowjob; it would be have fun just to see what kind of reaction I would have gotten. :)

Yes, this happen to me once in London near Earls Court. The bouncer said, 'You know, this is a gay bar?'. 'Yes, that is why I'm here.' I replied. He looked me over real good for a few seconds before he admitted me. (Didn't want a gay basher? Wasn't gay enough?) Was very odd.

Now in reference to Castro Clones taking on anyone who appears 'straight' down in the Castro: 3-4 years ago a (really) straight couple were thrown out of a Castro bar for kissing! One week later a 'kiss-in' was held in front of the bar after all the media exposure. Reverse discrimination, and the bar was 86'ing 2 paying customers! Lackluster turn out to the kiss-in, but really - 'Can't we all get along?'
