An amazing story to share...

A poor young guy from Kenya studied graphic design here in the US. He wanted to get a job in the US but couldn't so he started working for free. He worked so hard day and night. His hard work finally paid off. He first got hired by a public broadcasting company and then proved himself to his employers. He is now working for one of the national broadcasting systems. I'm very proud of what he has achieved. I know I told you all I'll be gone for a while but got so excited by his news that I wanted to share with you. He is thankful that he has achieved his dream. Thank you for the post. the class mobility structure is what makes this country great: you can start with nothing and through hard work, "make it". If you look at the Forbes 400 list, you will see some "inherited" wealth but much of the list is "new" people; Warren buffet, Bill Gates, Michael Dell, etc. are all people who made it themselves.

 

In much of the world, educational opportunities and job opportunities are limited by your family background with a nonflexible social structure.
