9/11 put a lot of things in perspective for me and I'm sure everyone else. Is there anything you did this year that you might not have done otherwise? ...something positive that you did for yourself or someone else, did it change your life? I quit my 12 hour a day job to devote myself to my art work and to spend more time with my family and friends. I don't have as much money as I used to have but I don't seem to need as much either. I have a closet full of suits I don't wear. I've never been happier.

Yes.

Although I'm not really sure how much it was 9/11 as opposed to losing my mom to terminal liver disease 10 days later. Though I took her into the emergency room the night before 9/11 so somehow those two very different and unrelated events have become emotionally linked for me.

Anyway, I took 3 months off and drove about 10,000 miles around the continent, hired escorts for the first time ;-) , and visited family members that I hadn't seen in many years. Now, 12 months later, I'm about to start a new job, next week I'm moving to a new city (albeit one that I've lived in before), and yes, things are very different...
