Houston Ballet

As a result of seeing the movie, Mao's Last Dancer, I decided to see the Houston Ballet when it was in St Louis a couple of weeks ago. I was very impressed, and that takes a lot for me, as I am used to seeing the Joffrey Ballet in Chicago. I have also seen the NYC Ballet and the ABT in the past year, and neither could match the Joffrey. However, the Houston Ballet was outstanding with some new dancers and a fine production, even though it used recorded music instead of an orchestra in their St Louis production. I encourage you all to see the movie and also the Houston Ballet if it comes to your area.
