You have to be careful about your expectations with vid stars. I have found in my experience that my expectations and fantasies from watching a guy's EDITED sex work on camera can be a whole lot different in both chemistry, interplay and cost when it comes to the "real thing."

 

There are certainly exceptions, but I think it is important for you to be aware of the pitfalls upfront.

 

I've been with three porn stars in my experience over a 15 year period.

 

The first was with Ted Matthews and a "buddy" of his. Though Ted was always professional, I was disappointed that he was not "turned-on" the way his buddy was during the session. Ted also was not into anything "anal"; in other words, I couldn't even touch him there, much less lick him. A lot of my disappointment was that I failed to ask the right questions in those days prior to the engagement, though we always know that is no guarantee of success either.

 

The second experience was with the infamous Vinnie Marino in LA. There have been enough bad experiences that others have had so I won't go into great detail about him here. But again, my expectation of him was based on his video work. Definitely not a good gauge to assess the sexual interaction of a sex worker.

 

However, not to make the experiences all losses, just a few months ago, I got together with Haus Weston. Maybe we're all a bit more sophisticated now, by that session was one of my best experiences with a guy. I still did have a video work image of him before I met him, but Hause turned out to be the complete OPPOSITE of the rough, leather top image that he would sometimes project in his photos. So in this case, I was genuinely surprised and pleased that he turned out to be such a warm guy.

 

Now if all cases, the guys were a bit more expensive than a non-vid guy, as though being a vid star or a Colt model is like a professional credential that automatically costs more. In my experience, it doesn't always match up to our own fantasy hype that we create.

 

But I can definitely see that attraction of having sex with a "public figure." Just be aware of your expectations, and ask yourself how you will feel if the experience doesn't match your expectation. If you do that (assuming that you need to do that), then you will always be OK.

My own experience with hiring a gay porn star was not all I had hoped for. I hired Hal Rockland several years ago and although his body was truly flawless, the encounter was more like a muscle worship hire than true escort services. I agree the fantasy is hot; often the reality is less so. Remember the videos are fantasies, scripted and directed, so often do not represent the personality, or preferences of the guy. Also keep in mind that a lot of the "stars" are "gay for pay" and they are performing with another gorgeous hunk, so the results may be less than amazing with normal folk. They often come with attitude and an inflated price tag; the porn star label seems to add a min of $50 to the going rate. That being said there are definitely some winners out there, most of them actually gay. Haus has already been mentioned. Rick Hammersmith is probably in that category too, along with a few more I've forgotten. Most that escort have websites; Butch Harris has a post with the urls listed. I agree in general - I HATE fake porn!!

To that extent, you know what you a re getting, and if he really turns you on it is worth the try. Some stars do not do in private what they are willing to do in a video. And sometimes the video scenes are faked in part. Vinnie Marino, mentioned above, did only one scene with another guy and the intercourse was faked. You need to ask them what their limits are.
