Had a chance to see this at the Ahmanson Theater here in Los Angeles. The show is rumored to be headed for Broadway.

It stars Raul Esparza and Brooke Shields in the stage version of the Steve Martin movie.

Music by Alan Menken and direction and choreography by Robert Ashford.

I think they did a great job. Esparza is dazzling in this role. Shields has a much better and stronger voice than I ever expected. The staging is very evocative of the locale in the movie and the ensemble are all uniformly great.

It closes this weekend, but you can still get seats. I think Goldstar has them at discounts.

It also had Broadway Bares XX coverboy Charlie Williams. I saw it too. Very good. Hopefully they'll tighten it up a bit for Broadway.
